The best places : A cheat-sheet for a short trip to San Francisco

A colleague is coming to San Francisco for three days and wanted some help to plan his trip. Here are his questions and my super quick answers.

Enjoying a morning bun at Tartine

The best place for coffee

Ritual on Valencia (between 21st Street and Hill Street)
Four Barrel on Valencia (at 15th Street)
Blue Bottle at the Ferry Building

The best place for a (craft) beer

Magnolia on Haight (at Masonic)
Toronado on Haight (between Steiner Street and Fillmore Street

The best place for a good but affordable meal 

Taqueria Cancun on Mission (between 18th and 19th) for burritos
Tartine on Guerrero (at 18th) for pastries (prepare for a long queue)
Beretta on Valencia (at 23rd) for pizza and cocktails (get the rattlesnake)

Anything else worth seeing while in town?

Dolores Park if it’s sunny (go to the south west corner for the best views of the city)
Ferry Building on market day (Thursday)
Golden Gate bridge on a bike
Muir Woods (over the Golden Gate bridge)
