Zuni Café: quick review

I’d heard that Zuni Café were good for brunch so I booked at table at noon on Saturday to celebrate Ian’s birthday. When we arrived we were given the lunch menu. Turns out brunch is Sunday only. Anyway we ate.

We enjoyed oysters (two from Washington, two from Oregon and two from California) to start. They were big, sweet and refreshing although upset tummies later that day disagreed. I had the pizza with ricotta salata (cheese – need I say more?), tomato sauce (sweet and thick) and oregano (just the right amount of herb) which was amazingly tasty if a little hard to cut. Ian enjoyed salmon and roasted fennel. His plate was just the right size for lunch with the food being tasty and interesting. The shoestring potatoes were, of course, a good addition.
